Combat and Level Design Demo

Kruger Family Land is a souls-like 3rd person action game level, designed to recreate the deliberate and exciting combat and the multilayered level layout. The level sims to achieve a fully fledged combat system as well as a complex yet intuitive level that invites the player to explore and challenge.

Color Drifter

A First Person Parkour game, Unity

Color Drifter is developed based on the idea of traversing and performing amazing parkour movements in a retro video game world with vivid colors. I focused on tuning the game feel of parkour movements and the level design of a fast paced FPP game.

WAREHOUSE ASSAULT

An Unreal Engine 5 TPS Blockout Level.

Sneak, or break into your enemies' secret warehouse. I designed and built a 3D level that permits various playstyles. Combining 3 combat and 3 exploration sections, I created a mixed 3rd person adventure that catches player's attention. Uses color coding and objects to guide player's instinct.

RIFT OF CONFLICT

A Unity Third Person Shooter Blockout Level.

Venture into a dynamic and vibrant TPS grey box game. Experience the constantly changing combat experience. I designed and built 3 3D levels with unique map & enemy layout. The levels are carefully curated in order to bring a highly-diversified shooting level to the player.

THE RESPIRATION METHOD

Interactive Detective Fiction. A Twine project.

You are an experienced detective in the local police department as a mysterious case reinvokes your long forgotten special ability--The Respiration Method. For this original game, I designed 30+ interactive pages with branching plotlines and dialogs, wrote 10000+ words through 3 iterations.

EPISTEMOLOGY

A First Person Puzzle Game. An Unreal Engine 4 Project.

Wander through a Non-Euclidian space and solve intriguing puzzles. Witness the wisdom of Plato and Aristotle. Built with Unreal Engine 4, Epistemology is my independent game. I designed 12 unique levels and crafted 50+ blueprints. It is created to illustrate some critical ideas proposed by ancient Greek philosophers.

BOSS DESIGN DOCUMENT

A Boss Design Document for TPS game with 2 variations and narrative packaging

My Boss Design Document provides a TPS boss fight with detailed skill descriptions, Boss AI, and intended playthrough. This document features 2 variations: The Leshy and the Ancient Drake. The two variations are the same Boss with small differences in their skills.

THE LIBRARY OF BABEL

A 3D Game adaptation of Jorge Luis Borges' short story The Library of Babel.

Library is the Universe. In The Library of Babel, EVERY possible combination of words exist in the form of book collections. There is a book, somewhere in the game, that can answer all the questions in the world. I developed the game in Unity and scripted all the design functions in C# including the infinite book generator.
